Anacortes Service Trips

Keystone Food Drive

Keystone Members with Food Drive items

The Anacortes Club has been busy working with its two service groups. Club members between the ages of 10-12 have been participating in Torch Club, a service learning program teaching members about the importance of giving back to your community. Torch Club members have been doing service at the Club by helping staff at the Game Check-Out desk and with gym games. They also took a walking trip down the Tommy Thompson Trail in Anacortes to pick up trash along the trail. Everyone had a great time giving back to our community.

Teens at the Club have been working hard with Keystone Club. Their first project of the year was a food drive for the Anacortes Salvation Army. Teens put together fliers that were delivered around the city of Anacortes with a list of needs for the Salvation Army. They returned on Thursday, October 17th to collect food left out by community members.

Both service clubs will be helping this Saturday with the Boys & Girls Club’s 8th Annual Harvest Party. They are also looking forward to their November service projects working with the Community Troop Support to collect items for care packages which will be sent to military professionals overseas. Check back for more information on our Community Troop Support project and for more updates from our Anacortes Service Clubs!
