Anacortes Teens Place First in Milk Carton Derby

Anacortes Club Teens Colin and Stacie Compete in Milk Carton Derby

Throughout the month of May, Anacortes Teen’s worked on a Milk Carton boat to compete in the Anacortes Waterfront Festivals first Milk Carton Derby. On Sunday, June 3rd, the teens invention was put to the test in the cold waters of the Anacortes Marina as part of a race. Participants were informed that if any part of their boat came apart in the water, they would be disqualified, so after a quick check and final duct-taping, the boat hit the water with two Club Teens on board. The Boys & Girls Club vessel placed first in the race, as well as getting first prize in creativity. Congratulations to the Anacortes Teens for their hard-work and awesome results.
