Sedro-Woolley Club Members stuff 1,000 envelopes for Friendship House’s upcoming fundraiser.

Members from the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club partnered with the Friendship House on Thursday, May 23rd. Three Sedro-Woolley groups – Keystone Club, Torch Club, and SMART Kids – participated in stuffing 1,000 envelopes and affixed labels for the Friendship House’s spring fundraiser. The Friendship House, located in Mount Vernon, consists of homeless shelters and a Community Kitchen. For 26 years, they have been feeding, sheltering, and clothing those in need.

Sedro-Woolley Club Members have been hard at work on service projects throughout their community all school year. At our Family PLUS Night on June 13th, members will be presented with the Presidential Year of Service group award for accomplishing over 500 hours of community service since September 2012. If you have questions about our Service Learning programs, feel free to contact us at (360) 856-1830 or email Unit Director John Garman at jgarman@bgcskagit.org.
