Glass is in Session!

Glass Mosaics

Club members’ tiles wait to be completed before they are fired in the kiln.

On Thursday,  Club members began creating their own glass mosaics. By utilizing small 6″x6″ pieces of colored plate glass and their mosaic skills, they made individual glass tiles by gluing small pieces of glass to the glass plate.  The tiles will then be fused in the kiln to form the completed glass tile!

Some members chose to make nature scenes and included flower and suns on their tiles, while other members took a more abstract approach.

The Fine Arts Exhibit program in La Conner  encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 6-18 through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture while providing opportunities for members to create artwork for display in a local exhibit. Fine Arts
