LC Awarded Fine Arts Grant

Art Program Grant

The Fine Art Exhibit program teaches mediums such as ceramics & sculpting.

The La Conner Club has been awarded a grant from Art 4 Moore in the amount of $1,500 to expand its Fine Arts Exhibit program.

Art 4 Moore was founded in 2006 by Stephanie Dains, a former elementary school teacher and registered Art Therapist. Art 4 Moore was a way to honor her late mother, Marjory Moore Brooks. Based out of the San Francisco –Bay Area, their mission is to provide art supplies, support and resources for students, children, youth and others who need it the most.

The Fine Arts Exhibit program in La Conner is now a year-round program that encourages artistic expression among Club members ages 6-18 through drawing, painting, printmaking, collage, mixed media and sculpture while providing opportunities for members to create artwork for display in a local exhibit. Led by Arts Coordinator Jeff Mariott, the kids have already begun creating some amazing pieces at the Club. Fine Arts
