Haiku Poems

Haiku Poems

Members working on their haiku poems in the Learning Center.

Today in the La Conner Club, members learned how to write a haiku, a Japanese form of poetry that uses 17 syllables most commonly broken down in a 5-7-5 format. Members wrote about their hobbies, friends, and family. Project Learn Activities take place everyday from 3:30pm – 5:30pm. Following are some examples of Members’ haikus:

“My Lifestyle” by Lily
I am creative
I love the game chicken
I love the playground

“Christmas” by Alden

Santa will give me presents
I love eating food

“Me”  by Annie
