Let’s Build the Next 20 Years

The Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County can trace its roots to the formation of the Skagit Valley Youth Association in 1995, with the first true fundraising effort developed in the annual Golf Tournament—first held in September 1996. However, the official beginning of the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County wasn’t until the summer of 1997, with the organization receiving non-profit status in June, and the first Club opening in Burlington, in the Cascade Mall, on July 17, and an official charter from Boys & Girls Clubs of America, in December. Today, the Clubs serve over 1,700 youth, offering a safe, positive, fun place to be during after-school hours.

Thank you to everyone who has supported us along the way, as we work to fulfill our mission: to enable all young people, especially those who need us most, to reach their full potential as productive, caring, responsible citizens. With your help, we can look forward to 20 more years of building GREAT Futures in Skagit County.
