January Family PLUS Night

The January Family Night at the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club!

The January Family Night at the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club.

Family PLUS Nights always seem to fall on the stormiest nights in Sedro-Woolley, but Club families still brave the dark and rainy weather to enjoy a nice home-style meal, and to watch Club Members receive hard-earned honors. The January Family PLUS Night brought 85 Club Members and their families, where everyone enjoyed dinner of Swedish meatballs, hosted by regular supporters, the Foresters group.

The January Youth of the Month were Jayda Carter and Hunter Lake, both Members who are respectful, polite and are very helpful around the Club. Teen of the Month was Haley Moore, who makes a difference in the Teen Center with her great smile and can-do attitude. Teen Volunteer of the Month was Aubree Hains, who volunteers much of her time helping our Membership Coordinator with front desk duties like checking out games to Members, and helping other staff with projects and Special Events. January Reading and Homework Stars of the Month were Emma Carter and Evan Paulk. Congratulations to these exemplary Club Members.

Long-time Volunteer Pat Grenfell was recognized for five years of service to the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club. Pat has catered our past Spaghetti Feeds and our 2013 Winter Event held on January 26th. Volunteer Renee Buchanan was also honored for donating 100 hours of her time to the Club since September 2012. Renee donates her time to conduct our S.M.A.R.T. Girls Program, and volunteers with arts and crafts and the Teen Center. Thank you, Pat and Renee, for volunteering so many hours to help the Boys & Girls Club.

Please join us for our next Family PLUS Night, Tuesday, February 19th from 6:00-7:30p.m.
