Kids Making SMART Decisions

During today’s session of SMART Kids, members 6-9 had an age-appropriate discussion about good vs. bad types of drugs. This session tied in with last’s week topic of medicine. They learned about the harmful effects of tobacco, alcohol, and other drugs can have on their bodies. Members left this ¬†weeks session having the skills to make wise decisions about the use and misuse of these substances

SMART Kids is a component of the SMART Moves Program for 6-9 year olds. The purpose of this program is to give members a forum to find out more about themselves and learn tools to be successful in school, home, and in the community.

SMART Kids runs every Tuesday at the La Conner Club from 4:00 to 4:40pm
