LC Celebrates Dr. Seuss’s Birthday

La Conner Club Members joined  millions of their peers across the country to celebrate the 16th annual, Read Across America Day on Monday, March 3, 2014.

RAAlogoRead Across America Day, which celebrates Dr. Seuss’s birthday and the joys of reading, engaged over 50 students from the La Conner School District. To honor the good doctor and celebrate the fun and value of reading, Club Members posed in the Thing One & Thing Two photo booth. After a lunch inspired by Green Eggs & Ham, Cat in the Hat and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish.  Members later  gathered in the Learning Center to hear Staff read their favorite Dr. Seuss Books. The Sneetches, Fox in Socks, and Horton Hears a Who were among the stories read.
