LC Dental Health Night Recap

Dental Health Night

Club Members showing off their great smiles during Dental Health Night

Over fifty people attended the Dental Health Night in La Conner on Monday. Luanna and Ruth from the Washington Oral Health Foundation came gave an awesome presentation. With the help of some Club Members, multi-colored ping-pong balls, and a rope, they illustrated how flossing can remove unwanted particles from between our teeth.

After a catered dinner, families broke off into three different activity rooms. For every room that a Member actively participated in, they received a ticket to be entered into a drawing for some cool prizes.

The goal of Family PLUS is to reach, support and empower local families to participate fully in their children’s lives through collaboration with community organizations like the Washington Oral Health Foundation to provide parents and caregivers with resources.

Thank you to Washington Oral Health Foundation and Homegrown Sustainable Sandwich Shop for the great presentation and dinner.

Family PLUS Nights are held monthly at the La Conner Club, and are open the entire community. For more information, contact Club Director, Kendrick Davis-Pittmon at (360) 419-5306 or email at kdavis@bgcskagit.org.
