Clay Tech

Youth at La Conner create their very own claymation videos

Space skunks, Super monkeys and the usual cast of characters come to life at the La Conner Boys & Girls Club. The Fine Arts & Technology Program continues to foster it’s burgeoning movie crew this week, and we have quite the junior Spielbergs in the Club.

Clay Tech

Clay Tech and other Club Tech Programming is made possible at the LC Club thanks to the generous support of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community

The kids have sprouted their own movie development ideas. Utilizing partners, set design, character development, and script writing, they are producing some very entertaining stop animation films to debut at Family PLUS  Art Night in March.  Our  favorites this week were, “Dinosaur vs Dinosaur,” “Astronaut,” and, “Opportunistic Zombie,” written and directed by Logan and Aubrey. Also in the Art Room this week, the younger Members enjoyed beaded bracelet making, working with pastels, and lots of fun sculpting with clay.

The Boys & Girls Club of La Conner is excited to offer Clay Tech and other Club Tech Programs for our Members ages 6-18 thanks to the generous support of the Swinomish Indian Tribal Community. Thank you Swinomish Indian Tribal Community for providing this valuable educational opportunity to our Members.

If you are interested in signing up your student, want to volunteer, or sit in on a Clay Tech session, please contact Club Director Kendrick Davis-Pittmon at (360) 466-3672.
