Club Kids Will Set Fitness Record

World Record Attempt

Club Members will try to  break the world record for most people exercising to a fitness video within 24 hours.

If you drive past the La Conner Boys & Girls Club on Thursday, March 27th, and see a mass of kids exercising to a fitness video, you are witnessing their attempt to set the Guinness World Record for Most People Exercising to a Fitness Video within 24 Hours. Members of the local Club are participating this nationwide effort. Youth love to be in constant motion, jumping and playing. Exercise is beneficial for a number of reasons, including promoting good physical fitness.

As part of National Boys & Girls Club Week (March 23-29) and Boys & Girls Club of La Conner’s belief in the benefits of a Healthy Lifestyle, the Club is embarking on this initiative with other Clubs across the country through their Culture of Wellness Format. This movement improves the overall fitness of young people by encouraging them to live healthy, active lifestyles. Boys & Girls Clubs, including ours here in La Conner, help fill this need every day.

BGCA expects to receive the official word about the results from Guinness in a couple of months. For more information about how you can involve your children in Healthy Lifestyles and a Culture of Wellness, please contact Program Director, Leah Vazquez at (360) 466-3672
