Mad Science

Club members experiment with aerodynamics in Mad Science with Becky

The Anacortes Mad Science Club continued their exploration of flight on Friday, January 11th, by building very strange airplanes that consist of a straw with two loops of paper taped to it.  This interesting design lends itself to long flights and the challenge was on to see who’s design flew the farthest.  We also talked about air pressure as that will be the direction our exploration will go in our next Mad Science meeting.  Club Members LOVED experimenting with the “Airzooka”, a tool made from a tube and a hair-dryer, used to balance a ping pong ball in mid air!

Mad Science meets every other Friday at the Anacortes Club.
