MV Boot Camp Fitness Challenge

The Mount Vernon Club Members finished off this year with a 2 week Boot Camp Fitness Challenge! The challenge consisted of six, 45 minute workouts. Each challenge started off with the members doing a 10 minute warm-up and stretch to prepare themselves for an intensive 20 minute cardio workout around the track and in the field. Following their cardio the kids then participated in 10 minutes of strength training exercises that utilized their own body weight as resistance. Finally they did a 5 minute cool down and stretched out before heading back inside. The kids stayed hydrated and learned why working out is important for their bodies!
