Day of Service and Remembrance

We Remember.

The September 11th National Day of Service and Remembrance is the culmination of efforts originally launched in 2002 by the 9/11 nonprofit MyGoodDeed with wide support by the 9/11 community and leading national service organizations. This effort first established the inspiring tradition of engaging in charitable service on 9/11 as an annual and forward-looking tribute to the 9/11 victims, survivors, and those who rose up in service in response to the attacks.

Join the Boys & Girls Clubs of Skagit County today as we participate in the National Day of Service and Remembrance with programs at our Anacortes, La Conner and Sedro-Woolley Clubs.  We will honor local police, fire and military personnel for dedication and sacrifices.  In an effort to give back ourselves – we are launching a Year of Service initiative where our Torch Club and Keystone members are committing to complete between 50 and 100 hours of community service during the 2012 – 2013 school year.  Participants will be recognized with the President’s Volunteer Service Award in June 2013 at the conclusion of the school year.
