Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club Winter Fundraiser raises money for after-school Youth Programs

Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club recently held their Winter Fundraiser on Friday, February 6th at the Sedro-Woolley Community Center. Dedicated community members showed their support raising over $15,000 for after-school programming at the Club. This Club is currently serving nearly 300 youth, averaging 125 kids each day. These funds will go to support providing each Club Member with a safe place to go after school, daily snacks, and homework help. Once again, in order to encourage donors to give to a good cause and also to provide a spark of fun, Club Director John Garman shaved his beard to benefit the kids of the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club. AND because he dedicated to the youth of Sedro-Woolley and a huge advocate of the Club, Police Chief Lin Tucker included his mustache on the auction block. This event was sponsored by Dwayne Lane’s North Cascade Ford and Carl’s Towing and their representatives were among the honored guests helping to clean up these Woolley men.
