Quality Kid Reporters

Kids Inspecting Quality of Popcorn Brands

Members at the Mount Vernon Boys & Girls Club learned about consumer reporting and how they can make their own experiments to find out what brands perform better than others. This particular experiment involved popcorn. There were three different brands and one particular brand had two different flavors: butter and movie theater butter. First, they all wrote down their hypotheses and then they counted a lot of popcorn kernels and recording their findings on a chart. Afterwards, they compared brands and found their conclusion was that Orville Redenbacher’s Movie Theater Butter Popcorn gave the most bang for your buck.
