ROSS In-store giving campaign generates funds for Boys & Girls Clubs

Ross 18Ross stores across the nation recently wrapped up their in-store giving campaign titled “Open the Door to GREAT Futures”. The local Ross store in Burlington, went above and beyond in their effort to outpace the other Ross stores in a friendly competition to raise the most funds for the Clubs. Club teens were invited to visit the store during the campaign and join in the effort to raise awareness about the Clubs. Ross employees made it a fun and lighthearted experience for the kids. “When we walked in they had picked out colorful costumes, and accessories for us to wear featuring our Club color, blue. The teens really picked up on the playful spirit of it,” said Sarah Arquitt, Club photographer for the event. As donations came in, an employee would make an announcement over the loud speaker, followed by cheers and applause. Club Teens also made the most of the opportunity and put in some volunteer service hours at the store, tidying up misplaced merchandise and greeting customers while sharing with them about the Clubs.

When the campaign wrapped up the Burlington store raised $4,253.44 to support youth programs at Boys & Girls Clubs. The Clubs would like to thank Ross for the funds, as well as for the delightful experience their employees provided for the Club teens.
