Sedro-Woolley Teens Tour Skagit Valley College

On their Skagit Valley College tour our Teens had the opportunity to visit with college staff and get a glimpse of what their post high school education or careers could look like. We were able to tour the different departments at the college and ask important questions like: does it take a lot of math classes to become a scientist? What’s the difference between this college and a vocational school? And the best question; how do I get into the Running Start Program? Teens toured the automotive building, the Art facility, and their new science building Angst Hall; which is a Green Building with a Platinum Level Distinction. The kids enjoyed seeing all the student art works that are on display throughout the campus. They were given a brief history of the school and a future outlook as the college expands and dedicates its new facilities.
