SMART Kids say NO!
Last Friday, La Conner’s SMART Kids participated in a group discussion about the importance of saying “No!” to unsafe, unhealthy, and illegal behavior. Club Members learned that someday, even friends or family may ask them to do something that they know isn’t the right choice. Knowing a variety of ways to say no prepares youth for challenging situations and arms them with the skills they need to make smart choices. Youth then made posters displaying their favorite ways to say no.
SMART Kids gives Club Members the skills and training to stay healthy in all aspects of life. By learning to respect ourselves and each other, and to resist peer pressure, Members learn how to safely resist unhealthy substances.
SMART Kids meets Fridays from 4:00p.m. – 5:00p.m. If you are interested in signing up your Member, please contact Club Program Director, Leah Vazquez at (360)466-3672.
