Spring Break was a Blast at the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club

spring break

All four Skagit County Clubs were recently open for a morning and evening program for every day of Spring Break for the first time in the Club’s history. At the Sedro-Woolley Club, kids took advantage of the March weather by constructing their own kites and then made a go at trying to fly them. The Sedro-Woolley Club saw a wider range of age groups joining in springtime fun. The kids engaged in building challenges, cooking projects, and finished the week strong by making a “Thank You” poster for long-time supporter, Dwayne Lane’s North Cascade Ford in Sedro-Woolley. When the Club members delivered the poster, the employees were very surprised to see all the happy kids and took them on a tour of the dealership. As a reward for their enthusiasm and helpfulness all week long, volunteer Kathy Roll made cupcakes with the kids. Overall, Spring Break at the Club flew by too fast because everyone was having so much fun. Now that the Break is over and the school year is on the home stretch, the numbers of kids attending the Club have greatly increased and the Sedro-Woolley Club is pleased to be in position to accommodate the anticipated need this Summer when school is out again.
