Stop Bullying Day in SW

Sedro-Woolley Club Members participate in the National Stop Bullying Day poster contest.

In recognition of National Stop Bullying Day the topic of discussion for our SMART Kids session was “Bullying-What do we do?” The group consisted of 18, 6-9¬†year-old boys and girls who brainstormed ways to avoid bullies and recognize how they might have bullied others and not even realized it. We like to invite our Jr. Staffers to assist in this program by keeping Members on task and providing input to help the kids with discussions. Following this SMART Kids session we held a “Stop Bullying” Poster Contest that was open to all Club Members. Kids partnered up to design and illustrate their posters with personalized¬†anti-bullying messages and suggestions for being nice and making friends. We then created an Anti-Bullying display at the Sedro-Woolley Public Library.
