SW Family Plus Night – November

Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club recognized the Foresters for their support of the Clubs the past 8 years.

Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club hosted their Family PLUS Night November 16th and we had 88 guests. The theme for the evening was “Thanks for Giving” and we took this opportunity to recognize and thank the Foresters group for their eight year partnership with our Club. They always show up to prepare and serve dinner at our Family Night events and have made many contributions over the years. So thank you Foresters for being great. We also took the time to recognize our Youth of the Month, Jonathan Salinas and Asia McDermott for their outstanding help and exemplary performances at the Club. Also recognized were Reading Star of the Month Taylor Grey and Homework Star Brandon Deleon.

Way back in April, 2012 we attempted to set a world record and just this month we got our long awaited confirmation for setting the world record for “the most participants in a game of tag at multiple venues in 24 hours.” We recognized our participants with a certificate congratulating them on their achievement of being one of the 20,541 participants.

Activities for the evening consisted of multiple family craft projects and a Game-a-Thon where Members could earn Club Bucks by participating in games with their parents and other guests. This is also a time where the kids and adults could visit the Teen Center for activities and fun. Thank you again to Treats & Sweets by Renee for providing the desserts for the evening – your donation is always quickly consumed and greatly appreciated!

Be sure to join us for our December Family Night on Thursday, December 13th from 6 to 730 pm. Dinner will be served at 615 and the fun starts at 645!
