SW Halloween Dance!

1st Annual Ghosts & Goblins Dance at the Sedro-Woolley Teen Center on Oct 26.

The Sedro-Woolley Teen Center hosted their first annual Ghosts & Goblins Dance on Friday, October 26th with 86 Sedro-Woolley teenagers in attendance!

Club teens did all the decorating and decked out the Teen Center with caution tape and paper bats – there was even a Jack-o-Lantern crime scene in the corner (someone smashed poor Jack and the Jack-o-Police were on the scene).

The dance started at 7:00 PM with a live band setting up in the kitchen and playing for about an hour. A big THANK YOU to the Sedro-Woolley band “I Thought I Saw a Zombie” for starting the night off with some killer tunes! For that first hour there were 25 teens enjoying the live music. When the Cascade Middle School Halloween Dance got out, Teen Center Club Staff walked over to CMS and escorted 61 teens over to the Teen Center so they could join the fun! A total of 86 teens danced, enjoyed refreshments, had pizza dinners, participated in a costume contest, and socialized until 10:00 PM.

Thanks again to the band and to Kathy and Robert Reim for donating use of a sound system. Be on the lookout for more Teen Center Dances in the future! If you would like to donate your DJ services for Teen Center Dances, which provide a drug- and alcohol-free atmosphere on the weekends for 7th-12th graders.
