SW Keystone Helps at Community Kitchen

Keystone Club Member Parker R. working at the Open Door Community Kitchen.

On Thursday, October 18th teens from our Keystone Club helped to serve dinner at the Open Door Communty Kitchen in Sedro-Woolley.  Every month our teens show up at Community Kitchen eager to help. We show up early enough to setup tables, chairs and place settings, and prep dinner. Through this service project our teens learn how they make difference in their community and meet others who simply enjoy helping others. We finished off the evening with cleaning up the dining room and saying good bye. Many of these teens are working towards their Year of Service Awards which is given out 14-18 year olds who perform a minimum of 100 hours of community service and many of our teens are well on their way.
