SW SMART Girls Bake for Charity

The Sedro-Woolley SMART Girls making dog biscuits to donate to the Humane Society!

Today the Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club SMART Girls learned about the importance of community and discussed the many ways they could give back to their local charities. The session concluded with the girls making dog cookies to donate to the Skagit Valley Humane Society.

SMART Girls at the Sedro-Woolley Club is a healthy lifestyles program for young ladies in 4th-6th grade. The girls meet once a week to cover curriculum that addresses the pressing issues girls face today, like health and nutrition, body image, positive self-esteem, goal setting and much more! SMART Girls meet the first day of the week at 4:30 pm. SMART Girls Volunteer Leader Renee Buchanan also leads SMART Gals, the equivalent group for the teenage girls held in the Teen Center Mondays at 4 pm. Thanks Volunteer Renee for donating your time to develop SMART LADIES!
