SW Torch Club Volunteers at Community Meal

Sedro-Woolley Torch Club group volunteers monthly at the Open Door Community Kitchen at Central United Methodist Church.

The Torch Club group from Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club volunteer monthly at the Open Door Community Kitchen in Sedro-Woolley. The Community Kitchen is open the last full week of every month, and the Torch Clubbers have volunteered twice since the new school year started. The ‘tweens helped serve the meal to the diners and they also cleaned up and did some dishes!

Torch Club is a community service group that teaches Club members about civic engagement and social responsibility, and by doing hands-on projects in the community, the ‘tweens learn that giving back is appreciated and FUN! Torch Club is lead by the SWBGC Service Learning Coordinator Bryan Reeder. Bryan plans several service learning and civic engagement opportunities for Torch Club every month. Be on the lookout for our Torch Clubbers around and about making a difference!
