Torch Club at the Landing

June 2013Members from the Sedro-Woolley Torch Club visited “The Landing, A Healing Place for Kids” on Wednesday, June 5th.  The kids worked hard pulling weeds in the Memory Garden to help beautify the landscape and create a lovely place for their clients to enjoy. This is the fourth trip the Torch Club has made to help with weeding, and the Landing administration was very grateful. Working hard at the Landing has made a large contribution to Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club Members earning over 1500 hours of community service since September 2012.

Sedro-Woolley Torch Club Members continue to serve the community as they work towards their goal of earning the President’s Volunteer Service Award which will be presented at our Family Night on Thursday, June 13th.   If you are interested in learning more about the Year of Service or if you have suggestions for service needs in the community, please contact John Garman at (360) 856-1830.
