Torch Club makes Bird Feeders

Torch Club Members making Bird Feeders

This week in Torch Club, members made recycled bird feeders as part of the Torch Club National Project, PAWS (Protect Animals With Service). With food being scarce during the winter months, members wanted to provide food for the birds in our community. You can also make recycled bird feeders for the hungry birds in your area with some simple supplies!

Recycled Bird Feeders:

Toilet paper rolls

Hole puncher

String or yarn

Peanut butter

Bird seed

Take an empty toilet paper roll and punch two holes at the top of it. Spread peanut butter on the toilet paper roll and then roll it in bird seed. String a long piece of yarn through the top two holes and tie it in a knot at the top. Hang the bird feeder on a nearby tree as far up off the ground as you can reach and watch the birds come and eat!
