Volunteer Orientation – April 25

Chess Club

Our Chief Professional Officer gets schooled in checkers… again.

If you are interested in becoming a volunteer and want to learn more about it, or if you are already a volunteer and want to brush up on tutoring skills, we invite you to join us for our next Volunteer Orientation on Thursday, April 25 at 1:00pm. We will cover the material in the Volunteer Handbook, a brief history of the Boys & Girls Clubs, how a volunteer fits into our Formula for Impact, and smart tutoring practices, in addition to other topics. Please come with questions as the session will be attended by staff from our Clubs to answer any questions you may have about a specific Club and the day-to-day volunteer experience.

The next volunteer training session will be held Thursday, April 25th at 1:00pm at the Mount Vernon Club located at 1100 LaVenture Road. RSVPs appreciated but not required.
