World Travelers share experiences with Club Members

Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club Members have been “traveling the world” through programs they call World Traveler Wednesdays and Culture Club. Shown here is Boys & Girls Club Board President Brock Stiles, who presented about his travels to Germany, Italy and Serbia. The kids enjoyed seeing his pictures of the castles and historic buildings.

Past presentations include “travels” to South Africa with local Pastor Jim Cannon and Australia with former staff member Alyssa Ballestero. Future travel plans are booked for Friday, May 4th with a “trip” to Costa Rica and Mexico, presented by Bridget Heffele from Sedro-Woolley High School. Other stops on the itinerary include Mary J. McGoffin sharing about her trip to Spain on Monday, May 21st.

The Sedro-Woolley Boys & Girls Club offers Culture Club and World Traveler Wednesdays to help Club Members develop an appreciation for cultures from around the world, and to expose them to the learning opportunities that await them outside of their community. If you have an interactive travel presentation you’d like to share with the Sedro-Woolley Club Kids, please contact Jill Reid at jreid@bgcskagit.org
