Youth of the Month – February, 2012.


Elijah is 13 at Anacortes Middle School
He has been a Boys & Girls Club member for 5 years.   Elijah “EZ” has received Boys & Girls Club Academy Awards for Most Helpful 2011 and Best Attitude 2012.  He has been a role model and leader at the club and to his peers, focusing on his academics as part of the Anacortes Middle School’s AVID program.  He also had perfect school attendance for the 2010/2011 School Year and was part of the 2011 All-Star Baseball team.  EZ has taken on leadership roles at the club, assisting with special events.  He has participated in 2 sessions of the Anacortes Club’s Teen Leader Program which is a Career program in which teen members prepare resumes, cover letters, and complete and interview process to be selected into a volunteer job shadow program at the club.  Elijah is an outstanding young adult and we are excited to have him represent the qualities and values of the Boys & Girls Club as our Teen Youth of the Month.



Michael is 10  at Island View Elementary
He has been a Boys & Girls Club member since 2011.  Michael has outstanding manners and is polite and respectful to adults and his peers.  He recently became a Junior Staff Member.  Michael belongs to Boys Scouts and is proud of his math grades.  His hobby is racing RC Cars.





Skylar is 10 at Fidalgo Elementary
She has been a club member since 2010.  Skylar has a great attitude and excellent sportsmanship.   Skylar recently became a part of the Anacortes Club’s Junior Staff Program. Skylar loves Soccer and Volleyball, singing and writing.  She is currently working on a Chapter book that she started in 3rd grade.





William is 6 years old at Fidalgo Elementary
He joined the club in January and immediately began participating in our Power Hour Homework Program.  He is enthusiastic about school.  He loves P.E. and all the games at the Boys & Girls Club.   An interesting fact about William is that he was born in Japan!
